Mission Statement:

ConstructionJobs.com has watched and assisted the careers of professional builders and has seen trends in construction come and go. We know that a deep concern held by leading builders in the United States is the decline in enrollment at colleges and universities in construction programs and the sense among those builders that they may fall behind in finding the next generation of young people who will build the structures where we live, work, and gather. The ConstructionJobs.com Scholarship for Students in Construction intends to encourage men and women to consider construction as a career and offers financial assistance toward that noble end.

ConstructionJobs, Inc. wishes to help ensure the growth of the industry by providing financial support to those who are committed to a course of studies in construction management or engineering.

Our close and long association with the construction industry has led us to establish the ConstructionJobs.com Scholarship for Students in Construction.

Eligibility and Rules:

The ConstructionJobs.com Scholarship for Students in Construction provides $1,000.00 for up to 10 students annually. ConstructionJobs.com accepts and reviews all applications and awards all prizes without prejudice toward any institution. We seek to award the ConstructionJobs.com Scholarship for Students in Construction to those whose current course of studies, intended course of studies, and past and current affiliation with construction companies indicate a dedication to the construction industry.

Those eligible for the ConstructionJobs.com Scholarship for Students in Construction are as follows:

1. All students currently enrolled in an accredited college or university who are studying civil engineering, architectural engineering, construction management, construction technology, engineering technology, building construction, building science or another course of studies related to and leading to employment in construction.
2. All students who are currently employed with a construction company while they attend school.
3. Those students who are committed to pursuing or continuing a career in the construction industry.

You are responsible for completing the application process for the ConstructionJobs.com. The application can be found here at ConstructionJobs.com or at BuildingFutureBuilders.org, a non-profit organization which processes the applications and distributes the $1,000 awards to the recipients of the ConstructionJobs.com Scholarship. Your application is considered complete when you:

1. Building Future Builders must receive two things from you: the most up-to-date Transcript showing your current GPA and course history and a completed Application.
2. The first reference on your application must be from a construction professional who can speak to your involvement in and dedication to the construction industry.
3. The $1,000.00 award will be sent directly to the recipient's school and will be applied to his or her academic needs for the designated semester.
4. For the Spring 2009 semester, the application period is as follows:
   • June 15 , 2008 - December 1, 2008

You may apply for the Scholarship by using the following options:

Option 1 - Complete the Online Scholarship Application Form.

Option 2 - If you prefer to submit a printed application by fax or mail, please click here to download: Scholarship Application - PDF (76k). The Scholarship Application download requires the Adobe Acrobat reader. Click here to download the Adobe Acrobat Reader.

Notification:

ConstructionJobs.com will select those who will receive the Scholarship within approximately two weeks following the application closing date. The $1,000.00 award will be sent after students are notified.
