Biosecurity Engagement Project Officer II

This highly-specialized position will provide programmatic expertise and support for the Biosecurity Engagement Program (BEP) at the Dept of State and other ISN/CTR tasks, as appropriate, and report directly to the Bio Team Chief. This effort will primarily involve providing contractor support for BEP assistance efforts. This contract position performs a variety of functions, including BEP planning; developing BEP conferences, workshops and training, and events supporting nonproliferation programmatic efforts under GTR. This contract position also coordinates with appropriate officials in the international security community, particularly other ISN bureau offices and other USG agencies, implementing partners, and contractors to ensure timely flow of SAQMMA13Q0225 program-related communications and program coordination. Contractor will provide contract support to BEP training events, and general correspondence related to GTR programs; research and organize background material as appropriate for presentations and written tasks; and develop BEP plans for pathogen security, disease surveillance and engagement of bio scientists with WMD applicable skills. Additional tasks will be defined by the ISN/CTR Director, ISN/CTR Deputy Director, and Team Chiefs.
-4 yr degree in information systems/technology, engineering/ engineering technology, mathematics, natural sciences, social sciences, medicine, business/finance, statistics, public policy administration, public health or jurisprudence.
