Job-Specific Insights This position will manage and support various program areas under the Safety Engineering & Strategies Program, including Virginia’s Strategic Highway Safety Plan (SHSP), SMART SCALE Safety Screening and Scoring, Safety Performance Analysis, Highway Safety Engineering initiatives, and Federal and State safety legislation support and compliance.
The successful candidate will possess strong expertise in highway safety engineering, safety performance analysis, and statewide program management, along with the ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders. Experience developing and implementing data-driven safety policies, programs, and innovative engineering solutions while balancing technical and stakeholder needs will be essential for success in this position.
