Job-Specific Insights VDOT Salem District has an opening in our Bedford Residency, located in Rocky Mount, VA for a professional engineer for an Assistant Resident Engineer- Land Use. Land Development serving as the responsible charge engineer and primary point of contact for land development issues in the residency. Provide input to local governments regarding rezoning applications and comprehensive plan amendments to meet local government deadlines and performance targets. Coordinate impacts to and changes in limited access right-of-way with affected parties. Residency Programs Coordination and Delivery-Assist the Resident Engineer in maintenance and operations program delivery to include building and maintenance strong partnerships to deliver the residency programs. Emergency operations with the oversite of training, coordination and implementation of emergency snow plans. Securing hired equipment and establish snow removal with emergency response plans.
