Job Description
IGAM is seeking a Robotics & Shop Equipment Technician to support daily warehouse operations with a primary focus on the power-up, testing, troubleshooting, and documentation of industrial robots in inventory for resale. This role also includes working on other general shop equipment and assorted industrial machinery to support the Sales Team with any technical needs. The ideal candidate is passionate about robotics, but is also flexible and skilled in servicing a variety of equipment. This hands-on position ensures all machinery is safe, functional, and accurately documented prior to resale or shipment. Responsibilities include working directly with robots and other equipment, capturing operational videos, supporting onsite customer reviews of equipment, and updating records in the ERP system.
Requirements:Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
Equipment technical support for any and all sales related requirements to ensure the resale of machines in inventory
Power up, function-test, troubleshoot and/or refurbish industrial robots as well as general shop equipment and machinery
Safely energize and de-energize all equipment, strictly following lockout/tagout procedures
Capture detailed videos demonstrating operational functionality of robots and other equipment for resale and internal records.
Enter test results, condition notes, and operational status into the ERP system
Assist with staging robots and equipment for photography, listing, and shipping
Collaborate with listers, sales, and warehouse staff to maintain efficient workflow
Keep the robotics and testing area clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards
Identify and assist with process improvements in equipment testing and documentation, with a focus on robotics
Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical systems using schematics, meters, and diagnostic tools, especially for robotic systems
Education, Experience & Qualifications:3+ years of experience troubleshooting or maintaining industrial robots, machinery, or shop equipment
Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude; comfortable reading wiring and mechanical diagrams, especially for robotic systems
Skilled in the use of hand tools, multimeters, and diagnostic equipment
Experience using ERP or database systems for work logging or asset tracking
Detail-oriented with strong communication and documentation skills
Must follow all safety protocols and demonstrate sound judgment in handling powered equipment.
The ability and/or willingness to operate a forklift on a daily basis is a non-negotiable requirement for this role
