Company description : Aspire Dermatology, with twelve conveniently located offices throughout Rhode Island, is a highly professional provider of a full range of dermatology services from skin screenings and cosmetic procedures to Mohs surgery. The Mohs Technician is a multi-functional role in which you will work closely with our Mohs surgeon to prepare and process histologic specimens, ensuring the highest standards of patient care and laboratory accuracy.
Hours: Full Time, 40 hours, Monday Friday (And occasional Saturdays); 8:00 am 5:00 pm (or similar hours, must be flexible)
Starting pay rate range: $26.00 - $30.00 per hour, based on education, certifications, and experience.
Job description: Provides support to our Mohs surgeon by accurately preparing and processing histologic specimens for microscopic evaluation and review by the Mohs surgeon. Maintains appropriate quality control measures and ensures the department operates in accordance with all standards established by OSHA, CLIA, and other applicable regulatory agencies. This position is a dual-role opportunity that requires flexibility to float between both Clinical Medical Assisting and Pathology functions based on departmental and patient care needs. Responsibilities may include providing direct clinical support to providers and patients, assisting with patient care and clinical procedures, as well as performing pathology-related duties associated with Mohs surgery specimen processing. Coordinates and works closely with clinical staff, providers, and patients to ensure efficient workflow and high-quality patient care.
