DESCRIPTION

RJ Byrd has been engaged to identify a strong sales leader for a General Contractor client.  We are looking for an area growth executive to spearhead our expansion in the Central Texas area, which includes Austin and nearby markets. This role is ideal for an ambitious individual who excels in relationship-building, securing new business, and enhancing brand presence. This individual will partner with other business units, including executive leadership, to support and promote the firm’s reputation and existing business, as well as spearhead growth within the region. Key responsibilities include:

  • Develop and implement strategic plans to increase market share in Central Texas.
  • Manage all stages of client engagement, from introduction contact to project acquisition.
  • Represent the company professionally and ethically, attend industry trade shows and events, area networking functions, and client/prospect meetings.
  • Build and foster strong relationships with architects, developers, and other key influencers and decision makers who can support growth efforts.
  • Target prospects who value ethics, quality, service, and collaboration.
  • Lead multi-business unit efforts for strategic project opportunities.
  • Oversee and drive the preparation of proposals, meetings, and marketing materials tailored to Central Texas prospects.
  • Work with marketing team to enhance our brand visibility in Austin and surrounding areas.
  • Promote the company's reputation for accountability, value-driven culture, and quality in all interactions.

 

 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelors Degree from an accredited institution in Business, Construction Management or similar focus; Masters Degree and industry specific certifications are a plus.
  • 10+ years of experience in commercial construction or related industry
  • Possess a well demonstrated and proven ability to win deals in commercial construction and/or ancillary industries with honesty and integrity.
  • Take responsibility and ownership for driving market growth with relentless passion and grit.
  • Possess the ability to Influence stakeholders, build trust within key groups and identify new spheres of influence.
  • Be an effective communicator, possessing strong EQ to achieve the desired outcome.
  • Strong knowledge in the Central Texas construction market is strongly desired.
  • Must have experience with CRMs and other various construction software and mobile devices to support sales and project management.
