Civil Engineering Project Manager

A Civil Engineering Project Manager is responsible for the successful completion of civil engineering projects, overseeing all aspects from planning to execution and ensuring projects adhere to budget, schedule, and quality standards. This includes managing project scope, resources, and stakeholders, as well as ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and industry best practices.

Our client is seeking a talented Civil Engineering Project Manager to join their Chicago office. Position Overview

As a Civil Engineering Project Manager, you will lead multidisciplinary teams on a variety of public and private sector projects including residential, commercial, and industrial site development, roadway and trail design, stormwater modeling, green infrastructure, and capital improvement projects. Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee and manage civil engineering projects from concept through completion
  • Perform civil engineering plan reviews and ensure quality control
  • Serve as a point of contact for clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies
  • Prepare reports and technical documentation
  • Lead internal staff, mentor junior engineers, and manage project teams
  • Maintain budgets, schedules, and project deliverables
  • Support business development efforts and proposal preparation
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
  • 710 years of relevant experience
  • Professional Engineer (P.E.) license required
  • Proven experience managing site development and infrastructure projects
  • Excellent communication, organization, and leadership skills
  • Ability to manage multiple ongoing projects in a fast-paced environment
  • Team-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities
