Position Summary

The Construction Foreman will be responsible for overseeing field operations, managing on-site crews, and ensuring that concrete and excavation projects are completed safely, on schedule, and according to engineering specifications. This role serves as the primary link between project management and field execution, requiring a balance of technical expertise and leadership.


Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise daily field operations, including the coordination of labor, equipment, and materials for site development.
  • Monitor crew productivity and performance to ensure project milestones are met within budget.
  • Enforce strict adherence to safety protocols and OSHA regulations, conducting daily "toolbox talk" safety briefings.
  • Coordinate with subcontractors and vendors to ensure seamless integration of services and deliveries.
  • Maintain accurate daily logs, including equipment usage, labor hours, and progress reports.
  • Ensure quality control by verifying that all work meets the standards defined in the project scope.


Requirements

The successful candidate must possess the following qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Foreman in concrete and excavation projects, with a deep understanding of site grading, foundation work, and structural concrete applications.
  • Demonstrated ability to read and interpret construction drawings and blueprints, ensuring that all field activities align with architectural and engineering plans.
  • Proficiency in preparing job sites for construction activities, including site layout, utility identification, and the coordination of preliminary excavation.
  • Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
  • OSHA 30-Hour Construction Safety certification (or willingness to obtain within 30 days of hire).
  • Strong leadership capabilities with the ability to manage diverse crews in a fast-paced environment.
  • CDL Class A or B preferred.
  • Reliable transportation to and from job sites.
  • Pay based upon experience.


Physical Requirements

  • Ability to work in various weather conditions, including extreme heat or cold.
  • Capacity to stand, walk, and perform physical labor for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs independently.
