Summary:

To provide on-site supervision, management and coordination for all phases of commercial construction projects. Responsibilities include; coordinating subcontractors, managing company labor, material and equipment resources, ensuring all work is being performed in accordance with the contract documents (plans and specifications), and the work is being performed on schedule. The superintendent shall also be responsible for inspections, quality control and job safety.

It is a requirement that any person accepting this position must be willing and able to travel.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

• Supervision and management of all field operations on assigned project. Schedule subcontractors, consultants and vendors in harmony with project schedule.
• Communicate with project team regarding RFI's, ASI's, and issues that arise in the field.
• Establish and enforce quality control programs and have the ability to identify deficient work.
• Coordinate required inspections with local jurisdictions.
• Coordinate material testing and special inspections with designated testing agency.
• Attend, and/or direct, weekly subcontractor coordination meetings.
• Ensure all work is being performed in accordance with the contract documents. Identify non-compliance, safety, health and environmental issues.
• Identify conflicts in the contract documents and communicate them to the project team for resolution.
• Maintain daily log of all construction activities.
• Conduct weekly safety meetings and record attendees.
• Ensure job site is kept clean and orderly.
• Maintain as-built drawings in project office.
• Maintain contract documents (plans, specifications, addenda, submittals, shop drawings, etc.) in project office.
• Ensure jobsite is safe and secure at the end of each day.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 5 years documented experience as a commercial construction superintendent.
• Ability to use electronic devices such as smart phone, iPad and computer. Ability to use email and basic computer software.
• Demonstrated leadership ability.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Complete understanding of the contract documents, their relationship to one another and the order in which they are used.
• Excellent planning and organizational skills.
• OSHA 10-hour training.
• Ability to pass background check and drug testing.
• Physically able to lift 80 lbs.
• Endurance and ability to visit the entire jobsite, including stairs, roofs and other elevated structures.

Travel as required.

PAY WILL BE NEGOTIABLE BASED ON EXPERIENCE
