Construction Superintendent

The Construction Superintendent is responsible for overseeing all on-site construction activities to ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with plans and specifications. This role coordinates subcontractors, manages daily site operations, enforces quality standards, and maintains jobsite safety and organization.


Key Responsibilities

  • Manage daily on-site construction activities and coordinate subcontractors, vendors, and equipment.
  • Maintain project schedules and ensure work is completed on time and within budget.
  • Monitor construction quality and ensure compliance with plans, specifications, and building codes.
  • Coordinate inspections and maintain communication with project managers, architects, engineers, and consultants.
  • Track RFIs, ASIs, and material submittals with the project team.
  • Conduct daily jobsite walks to monitor progress and identify potential issues.
  • Lead subcontractor meetings and address scheduling or quality concerns.
  • Enforce jobsite safety standards and identify any compliance issues.
  • Maintain daily job logs and oversee jobsite cleanliness and organization.
  • Manage punch lists and ensure completion of all corrective work.


Additional Responsibilities

  • Assist with subcontractor bidding, budgeting, and contract awards.
  • Support permitting processes and project documentation.
  • Coordinate pre-construction meetings with subcontractors.
  • Identify scope gaps and communicate necessary changes to the project team.
  • Open and secure the jobsite daily as needed.
