Job Description

Job Description Job Description

As Superintendent, you are the leader on site. You will run field operations for commercial projects from mobilization through closeout - coordinating subcontractors, driving the schedule, enforcing safety and quality standards, and serving as the primary point of contact between the field, the project manager, and the owner. This role is right for someone who takes pride in a clean, safe, well-run job site and knows how to keep trades moving without sacrificing quality.

What you will do

• Direct all on-site construction activity, including scheduling and coordinating subcontractors, vendors, and deliveries

• Own the three-week look-ahead schedule and keep the master schedule on track; identify and resolve conflicts before they cause delays

• Enforce site safety: conduct toolbox talks, jobsite inspections, and ensure full compliance with OSHA and company safety programs

• Manage quality control - verify work in place against plans, specs, and shop drawings; document and resolve deficiencies

• Lead daily field documentation: daily reports, progress photos, manpower logs, and RFIs through project management software

• Coordinate inspections with city officials, engineers, and third-party inspectors

• Communicate proactively with the project manager, owner, and design team on progress, changes, and issues

• Manage site logistics, security, and housekeeping from mobilization through punch list and closeout

What you bring

• 3-5 years of experience as a superintendent (or assistant superintendent moving up) on commercial construction projects with a general contractor

• Working knowledge of all major trades - sitework, concrete, structural steel, MEP, and finishes

• Ability to read and interpret plans, specifications, and shop drawings

• OSHA 30 certification (or ability to obtain within 90 days)

• Proficiency with construction management software (Procore or similar) and scheduling tools

• Strong leadership and communication skills; able to hold subcontractors accountable while maintaining good working relationships

• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to job sites in the San Antonio area

Nice to have

• Degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field

• Experience with ground-up commercial projects in the $5M-$30M range

• First aid / CPR certification

• Bilingual English/Spanish

Compensation and benefits

• Medical, dental, and vision insurance

• 401(k) with company match

• Paid time off and paid holidays

• Annual performance bonus opportunity
