The Craft Resource Manager works closely with the Field Operations Manager(s) to coordinate the management of the employment cycle of craft team members, including all hiring, onboarding, and performance management processes.


RESPONSIBILITIES



  • Manage Craft Hiring and Onboarding processes

  • Accurately maintain applicants in Applicant Tracking/Recruitment Management system; partner with recruiter(s) if applicable

  • Identify and pre-screen potential craft team members when there are not craft recruiters. In groups where there are craft recruiters, partner with recruiters to ensure consistent screening

  • Arrange or support setting up Job Fairs

  • Ensure field orientation is delivered to craft new hires, and new hire paperwork is completed correctly and timely

  • Assist new team members in navigating Mortenson and Oracle Cloud. Technical and logistical set ups. Refer craft team members to appropriate resources 

  • Management of Craft Training, planning training overall, prepare, copy, assemble, and distribute materials

  • Proactively project and schedule needed classes to maintain 100% complete training

  • Reserve venues, rooms, equipment, and catering

  • Coordinate enrollment of team members and track any pre-work and maintain records of training events, post to My Career Portal if required

  • Manage set up and recordkeeping of craft team members, maintain confidential craft team member/management files for FOM

  • Work with FOM to develop craft resource plan

  • Process transfer and termination transactions in Oracle Cloud

  • Work to resolve escalated timecard/payroll issues

  • MVR/DOT, drug testing screening administration

  • Support FOM in Safety and Quality programming

  • Assist with planning and manage logistics for all field, foreman, and superintendent safety and quality meetings

  • Attend all Safety Leadership Team meetings

  • Send out updates on Quality and Safety programs as needed

  • Create presentations for use in Safety and Quality programs 

  • Effectively work and build relationships with those of diverse backgrounds and organizational levels
    Lead team members by example, offer effective coaching and feedback, and effectively manage performance


QUALIFICATIONS



  • Minimum of seven years of experience in an administrative support role

  • Minimum of five years of experience working in the construction industry or related industry

  • Demonstrated leadership in working with Craft Team Members

  • Knowledge of general safety protocol in the construction industry

  • Superior attention to detail and accuracy

  • Excellent planning and organization skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills

  • Excellent project management, leadership, and general business skills

  • Problem solving skills and ability to balance multiple priorities

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information

  • Strong facilitation and presentation skills

  • Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word

  • Ability to interpret and communicate Mortenson policies

  • Demonstrated emotional intelligence; i.e., being aware of emotions and motivations of self and others

  • Active listening skills and effective communication including an openness to diverse input and feedback
