D.R. Horton, Inc. is currently looking for a Division Risk Analyst. The Division Risk Analyst assesses and identifies potential risks to the division’s financial and operational health. Monitors internal and external risk factors including economic, market, and regulatory risks to continuously maintain maximum protection of the division’s assets.


 


Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.



  • Consult with division leadership to understand their data needs

  • Supports division leadership in risk management or risk model construction making recommendations to reduce risk

  • Uses analytical software to calculate the risk of a decision

  • Evaluate division records and division business plans to determine the level of risk

  • Analyze market trends to predict future trends

  • Identify liabilities and determine the likelihood of a positive outcome

  • Utilize correlations and patterns in past events and new data to determine the best course of action

  • Assess the commodity market’s influence on the homebuilding industry

  • Study how changes in local and global regulations and legislation can impact on the homebuilding industry and the division’s sector

  • Prepare for risky operational events to create contingency plans to manage the impacts of those risks

  • Analyze models and data within the scope of a business action

  • Predict and determine the likely outcome of a business decision

  • Prepare reports on findings and make recommendations to leadership

  • Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations

  • Interface with other departments to ensure constant communication

  • Conducts all business in a professional and ethical manner to serve customers and increase the goodwill and profit of the company

  • Ability to travel overnight


 

Qualifications

 

Education and/or Experience



  • Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or Business Administration

  • 15+ years of experience in Risk mitigation or a related field

  • Ability to deliver effective and engaging presentations to a variety of audiences

  • Experience in data modeling

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Ability to manage multiple responsibilities with attention to detail

  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written oral form or via DRH applications

  • Proficiency with MS Office and email

  • Ability to sit for the majority of 8-hour workday; use hands and fingers to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear.  Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and peripheral vision

  • The noise level is generally moderate


 


Preferred Qualifications



  • Master’s degree in Data Analytics, Accounting, or Information Technology a plus
