Overview

We are currently partnering with a well-established industrial contractor in South Carolina to identify an experienced Electrical Superintendent to lead field operations on active industrial construction projects in the Charleston and Columbia regions.

This role is responsible for overseeing daily jobsite activities, coordinating craft labor, and ensuring that all work is executed safely, efficiently, and in alignment with project requirements.

The ideal candidate will be a strong field leader with hands-on electrical experience, excellent communication skills, and the ability to drive productivity while maintaining a strong safety culture.


Key Responsibilities

  • Provide on-site leadership for all safety, health, and environmental practices
  • Conduct safety orientations and lead regular jobsite safety meetings
  • Identify and correct unsafe conditions, behaviors, and work practices
  • Ensure all work is performed in accordance with design documents and project requirements
  • Coordinate daily and weekly field activities, manpower, and equipment needs
  • Develop and maintain look-ahead schedules and support project planning efforts
  • Coordinate with project management and other superintendents on site logistics
  • Oversee material coordination, requisitions, and delivery sequencing
  • Monitor productivity, labor utilization, and project progress
  • Support preparation of reports including manpower forecasts, progress updates, and jobsite documentation
  • Assist with change order identification and project estimating support when needed
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and OSHA regulations


Qualifications

  • Strong background in electrical construction (industrial or commercial preferred)
  • Prior experience in a superintendent, foreman, or field leadership role
  • Working knowledge of NEC codes and electrical installation standards
  • Ability to interpret drawings, scopes, and construction documents
  • Experience managing field crews, schedules, and jobsite logistics
  • Strong communication and leadership skills in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work independently and make sound field decisions
  • Comfortable working in active construction environments including climbing, lifting, and field mobility requirements
  • Must pass drug screening


Work Environment

This position is physically demanding and requires regular work in active construction environments, including walking job sites, climbing ladders and scaffolding, working at heights, and lifting materials as needed.
