This is a Working Foreman role, leading journeymen and apprentices while ensuring all work meets NEC standards, productivity goals, and project deadlines. The ideal candidate is a skilled electrician with a California Journeyman Electrician license and experience in commercial electrical construction. This role requires flexibility in scheduling, including overnight shifts, and travel assignments.

Scope of work

• Supervise the commercial production of electrical journeyman and apprentices

• Interpret blueprints, schematics or plans and layout work for journeyman and

apprentices

• Perform tool-box talks and training to electrical apprentices and/or journeyman

• Install commercial electrical equipment and fixtures

• Install various types of conduit, raceway and cable tray systems

• Experience with refrigeration motor control, Ansul Systems and EMS is preferred

• Knowledge of retail new construction and/or retail tenant improvement projects is

desired

• Troubleshoot motor control systems

• May be asked to work in confined spaces

• Perform work from ladders, man lifts and/or during inclement weather

• Communicate with project managers and safety teams regarding jobsite progress

• Demonstrate and enforce quality electrical journeyman installation and jobsite

safety

Requirements

• Six or more years of experience as a commercial electrical journeyman with a

minimum of two years of foreman experience preferably from retail construction

projects

• Above average troubleshooting and critical thinking skills

• Valid driver license with the ability to pass a pre-employment drug test and a motor

vehicle background check

• Strong English literacy skills are required to effectively communicate with

management via email, phone

• Must be available to work nights or travel as needed
