ENGINEERING CONSTRUCTION MANAGER: We are a 31-year-old company based in San Diego, providing consulting, construction management & general engineering construction services and self-perform earthwork & grading. This is a long-term employment opportunity with the potential for advancement. Compensation will be commensurate with skill and experience.
Qualifications:
Five years or more of experience in General Engineering Construction is required.
Must have experience in Microsoft Office.
Must have excellent documentation skills.
Proven experience as a Construction Manager or similar role.
Strong knowledge of the construction processes, construction materials, and methods.
Proficiency with construction management software, such as Pro-Core.
Proficiency with project scheduling software, such as MS Projects and Primavera
Highly skilled at interpreting plans, soils reports and other types of construction documents.
Excellent communication, documentation and leadership skills.
Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
Responsibilities:
Oversee and manage construction projects from start to finish.
Maintain project schedules.
Coordinate and communicate with contractors, subcontractors, engineers, surveyors and soils engineers.
Closely monitor progress and ensure adherence to contracts and schedules.
Monitor project budgets, as well as invoice verification and approval.
Monitor and verify project change orders.
Study and interpret plans, specifications, and other construction documents.
Resolve issues or conflicts that may arise during construction.
