Job Title: Estimator - KY JOC Program
Location: Kentucky (Remote/Hybrid with Site Visits)

Job Description:
BR Systems, a growing general contractor specializing in commercial construction, is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Estimator to lead our Job Order Contracting (JOC) Program for the University of Kentucky in Lexington Kentucky. In this role you will both estimate and manage projects partnered with a general superintendent to ensure the successful execution of projects within the program.

Responsibilities:

• Project Estimation: Prepare detailed and accurate estimates for construction projects under the JOC program, including materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractor costs.
• Scope Development: Review project scopes, conduct site visits, and analyze plans and specifications to ensure alignment with client requirements.
• Cost Management: Utilize unit price books, historical data, and market trends to develop competitive and comprehensive cost proposals.
• Vendor Coordination: Collaborate with subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams to obtain pricing and ensure cost-effectiveness.
• Client Interaction: Serve as the primary point of contact for the JOC program, maintaining strong relationships with University clients, ensuring satisfaction, and addressing concerns proactively.
• Compliance: Ensure estimates and proposals adhere to contractual requirements, industry standards, and company policies.
• Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to enhance estimation processes and tools to improve accuracy and efficiency.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of construction estimating experience, preferably in commercial or government projects.
• Proficiency in estimation software (e.g., RSMeans, Bluebeam, or similar tools).
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Knowledge of JOC or similar contracting methods is highly desirable.
• MEP Experience is highly desirable
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  Willingness to travel for site visits as needed.
