About the Position:

Seeking a lead General Superintendent to manage and mentor others while leading our large scale 100 million plus care projects. This position would be expected to support the following.

• Site Leadership. Partner effectively with members of the project team; direct subcontractors daily; anticipate the needs of the Owner and proactively set up the project to realize and achieve those objectives.
• Mentor & Guide. Mentor others; ensure that the team is engaged and working together; provide learning opportunities within the job to less experienced personnel.
• Cost. Establish a plan, set goals, and achieve sequenced construction activities; ensure work completed by trade subcontractors is within scope of work and is their responsibility; identify and track out of scope components and communicate effectively with the Project Manager to ensure resolution.
• Schedule & Quality. Partner with other members of the project team to prepare a complete project schedule and manage onsite activities; sequence work in an efficient manner and notify subcontractors well in advance; partner with subcontractors and discuss daily plans of action.

Requirements:

Are you energized by leading a project and mentoring others? Does brainstorming and collaborating new, outside-the-box ideas excite you? Do you enjoy building relationships with contractors while maintaining an efficient project schedule?

• Experience. Previous oversight of commercial construction projects ranging in size from $85-150 million. Experience with healthcare projects desired but not required.
• Organization. Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Walk the walk, and talk the talk. Lead by example and excellent verbal and written communication.
• Trust your instincts. You can anticipate needs, take initiative, and proactively address issues.
• A make-it-happen person. You have tenacity to self-start and accomplish tasks, follow-through, and meet deadlines.
• Technologically savvy. Construction Management has become very tech-forward. Being able to pick up computer programs and new technologies quickly will aid in your success.
