Grade Checker: We are a 30-year-old company based in San Diego, providing consulting, general engineering construction services and we also self-perform earthwork & grading. Compensation will be commensurate with skill and experience. This is a steady and long-term employment opportunity, with opportunity for advancement.

Qualifications:

• Five or more years of experience as a Grade Checker for both large and small earthwork projects.
• Must have experience with GPS, laser and traditional grade checking methods.
• Must proficient with Trimble and Top-Con Equipment.
• Must have a strong knowledge of the construction process.
• Strong problem-solving skills, as well as an attention to detail.
• Highly skilled at interpreting plans.
• Average or better computer skills.
• Must have excellent documentation and communication skills.

Responsibilities:

• Interface and coordinate with Project Superintendent or Foreman. 
• Efficiently manage equipment, while maintaining a safe work environment.
