Description: We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Highway Designer to join our New Haven, CT office.

Responsibilities
Assist in the design and development of conceptual design alternatives into contract plans, specifications, and construction estimates for highway, roadway bridge, interchange and draining projects
Assist in the design of ADA compliant facilities, including sidewalks, shared-use paths and intersection curb ramps
Assist in the design and production of traffic control and staging plans and traffic, signing and striping plans
Assist in the production of engineering reports and other technical documents
Attend occasional field visits and meetings to gather data or assist in construction inspections
Create 2D and 3D design models with computer design software such as: AutoCAD, OpenRoads and AutoTurn
Work in coordination with H&H offices across the country to deliver projects that make roads safer
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
EIT certification and prior internship experience (preferred)
