Job Description:

The onsite safety manager responsibilities for this project is to support project site specific safety needs by ensuring safety best practices are implemented, safety compliance requirements are met, and  enhance a behavior base safety culture onsite for our primary contractor and sub-tier contractors.

•Oversee all aspects of designated contractor’s scope of work on project ensuring OSHA/VOSH compliance.

•Conduct daily safety meetings.

•Complete incident reports and conduct incident investigations

•Ensure all personal is wearing appropriate and required personal protective equipment (PPE)

•Daily safety audits and inspections

•Pre-Task planning meetings

•Participate in weekly  site-specific safety meetings and other GC meetings upon request.

Qualifications:

•OSHA 30HR Construction certification required

•CPR/First Aid valid certification is required

•3 years of Commercial Construction experience is required

•Strong knowledge of Construction safety standards (OSHA and VOSH)

•Must have experience in Fall Protection, Scaffolding, Confined Space, Excavation/Trench

•Excellent verbal and written skills

•Proficient in Word, Power Point, Sending Emails and Safety Software.

•BCSP STSC (Safety Trained Supervisor Construction) is desired

•BCSP CHST (Construction Health and Safety Technician) is desired

•BCSP CSP (Certified Safety Professional) is desired

•Ability to manually lift up to 50lbs and ability to walk , climb stairs and bend knees without issue.
