Job Title: MEP Preconstruction and Estimating Manager

About Your Opportunity: Join our team as the MEP Preconstruction and Estimating Manager, where you will take on a leadership role in managing all aspects of MEP preconstruction projects. Collaborating with our Estimating Teammates, you will drive motivation, coaching, and support within the department, ensuring customer satisfaction and timely project delivery. Reporting directly to the Vice President of Preconstruction/Estimating, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining and enhancing preconstruction practices to uphold our standards of excellence in the construction industry.

How You’ll Contribute:

  • Lead and manage the preconstruction team to fulfill contract requirements, including budgeting, scheduling, and defining roles and responsibilities.
  • Prepare MEP estimates at various stages of project development, from conceptual to GMP, to support preconstruction activities and client needs.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of preconstruction services, striving to be a "Best of Class" provider.
  • Liaise with project stakeholders to address concerns, ensure coordination, and maintain project budgets.
  • Monitor design scope for changes affecting budget and schedule, providing recommendations to maintain project goals.
  • Lead MEP value engineering efforts to enhance project value for clients.
  • Coordinate with Estimating department on project budgets and presentations to owners and architects.
  • Ensure contract requirements are fulfilled, and legal procedures and risks are managed effectively.
  • Participate in presentations with potential clients and support contract negotiation efforts.
  • Assist in subcontractor and supplier purchasing decisions as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required, preferably in Engineering, Construction Technology, Architecture, or related field.
  • 3-10 years of construction experience.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel to regional offices as needed.
  • Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship.
  • Willingness to work additional hours to meet business plan goals.
