Nurse Call System Installer for Jeron Electronic Systems

About the Role

Standard Communications, Inc. is seeking skilled and motivated Nurse Call System Installers specializing in Jeron Electronic Systems to join our growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for the installation, configuration, testing, and servicing of Jeron nurse call and intercommunication systems in hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, assisted living communities, and other healthcare environments. You will work closely with healthcare facility staff, general contractors, and project managers to ensure systems are delivered on time and to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Install Jeron nurse call systems (Provider series and legacy systems) in new construction and retrofit healthcare environments
• Mount and wire call stations, dome lights, corridor lights, pillow speakers, and master stations per project drawings and specifications
• Terminate and label low-voltage wiring including CAT5/6, plenum-rated cable, and fiber optic connections
• Configure and program Jeron system software, including bed assignments, staff assignments, and zone setup
• Integrate nurse call systems with ancillary systems such as paging, phone, RTLS, and EMR platforms
• Conduct thorough system testing, troubleshooting, and commissioning prior to project turnover
• Assist with on-site training to nursing and facility staff upon system handover
• Perform preventive maintenance and emergency service calls on installed Jeron systems
• Maintain accurate installation documentation, as-built drawings, and service records
• Coordinate with project managers and site supervisors to meet project milestones and deadlines

Required Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience installing nurse call or healthcare communication systems
• Hands-on experience with Jeron nurse call systems (Provider 790, 680, or similar)
• Proficiency in low-voltage wiring, termination, and cable management
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, floor plans, and riser diagrams
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record (travel to job sites required)
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screening (required for healthcare facility access)
• Strong attention to detail, safety awareness, and professional demeanor

Preferred Qualifications

• NICET certification in Fire Alarm or Electronic Safety & Security (or equivalent)
• Experience with nurse call system integration (RTLs, EMR, paging, telephone)
• Familiarity with Joint Commission and CMS compliance standards for nurse call
• Experience with additional nurse call platforms (Rauland, Ascom, Cornell) is a plus
• OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification

Working Conditions

• Regular travel to healthcare facilities within the service region; some overnight travel may be required
• Work performed in active healthcare environments — professional, respectful conduct is essential at all times
• Physical requirements include lifting up to 50 lbs, working from ladders, and accessing ceiling/crawl spaces
• Standard Monday–Friday schedule with occasional on-call availability for emergency service
