Job Duties


This is an hourly/wage position and is limited to 1500 hours to average 29 hours per week in a 12 month period. This position does not include the state benefit package.

As a VDOT Program Management Analyst Closeout, you will:
• Work with PMs to develop plans for corrective
action to address concerns with project charges by
preparing and processing journal vouchers.
• Coordinate with Urban Project Managers,
Coordinators and Fiscal Tech to confirm financial
information related to projects.
• Conduct phase and project closeout for VDOT and
Locally Administered Program.
• Assists with tasks to meet deadlines related to
Federal Management requests.
• Assists with business coordination and training
tasks.
• Complete special projects and assignments as
requested by leadership. Perform other duties as
assigned

Minimum Qualifications


• Knowledge of highway funding programs, allocations and budget process.
• Knowledge of financial accounting systems or other financial systems.
• Ability to evaluate programming of transportation funding and monitoring.
• Ability to apply policies and procedures.
• Ability to analyze and interpret data and prepare and maintain accurate reports and records.
• Ability to perform detailed work with program and project funding, expenditures and billing data.
• Ability to effectively manage time and work with minimal supervision.
• Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing with individuals or small groups.
• Skill in the use of computers and software applications to include spreadsheets, Microsoft Office, databases and automated program and project management systems.
• Valid Driver’s License required.


Additional Considerations


• Experience in accounting, business or related field.
• Knowledge of VDOT’s accounting, program and project management systems.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration or related field.
