Position Description: The Project Engineer is the conduit between the design and field teams, coordinating with project field operations to ensure information is timely delivered, understood, and implemented. The Project Engineer owns the project supply chain by managing the process of procurement which includes submittal approvals and coordinating the timely delivery of materials. The Project Engineer reviews, analyzes, and drives resolution of field challenges and coordination issues.

Reports to: Project Manager

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Independent, proactive problem-solver
  • Comfortable in offering suggestions when you see a better way
  • Have high attention to detail, execution, and follow-through
  • Enjoys accountability and requires minimal supervision
  • Organize, track, and maintain accurate and complete project documentation, related files, drawings, materials, correspondence, etc.
  • RFI’s: writing, logging, posting, tracking, routing
  • Submittals: logging, reviewing, tracking, routing
  • Deploy effective use of technology: Procore, Bluebeam, Smart Sheet, Navis Works, etc.
  • Effective management of BIM coordination process
  • Assist in drafting subcontracts and purchase orders
  • Assist PM with review of sub/supplier COP’s and monthly billings
  • Coordinating the supply chain with the CPM and Three Week Look Ahead Planner

Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture or equivalent. Proficient in Microsoft Office, Bluebeam, BIM Models, and Procore. Demonstrated strong leadership and mentorship skills. Experience with Public Works preferred.
