GEMCO Constructors, LLC, headquartered in Indianapolis, IN, is a mechanical, electrical, plumbing, building automation systems and service contractor providing comprehensive design and build solutions for its customers throughout the United States.

Position Summary

The Project Manager plans, directs, coordinates, and budgets activities related to the construction of the electrical trade scope on both national and local projects. This role is based in Indianapolis and requires the ability to manage diverse project portfolios across regions. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 12 years of electrical experience in commercial and/or industrial construction. The Project Manager participates in the conceptual development of construction projects and oversees their organization, scheduling, and execution from start to finish.

Primary Responsibilities and Duties

• Work with Director, superintendents and foremen to plan, organize and direct activities concerned with construction projects. 
• Establish project objectives, policies, procedures and performance standards within boundaries of company policy and contract specifications. Confer with supervisors and foremen to discuss such matters as work procedures, complaints and construction problems.
• Initiate and maintain liaison with customers and other contacts to facilitate project activities.
• Monitor and control project through administrative direction of on-site foremen to ensure project is completed on schedule and within budget.
• Represent company in project meetings and attend strategy meetings.
• Manage the financial aspects of contracts to protect the company’s interest and simultaneously maintain good relationships with the customers.
• Work with Superintendent to assign workers to construction sites to work on specified projects.

Requirements

• Must have 12 years of experience in electrical commercial/industrial construction work

Physical Demands

• Required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
• Frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
