Partners Excavating Co. is searching for a Project Manager to oversee small projects. This is an excellent opportunity to learn and grow with a reputable site contractor. As a Partners team member, you'll play a key part in the execution of plans to grow local business, develop new residential areas, and improve infrastructure systems. You will build relationships with general contractors, land developers, business owners, residents, and professionals working alongside us to successfully get projects to completion. Job responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Oversee and manage construction projects from start to finish
  • Develop project plans, including timelines, budgets, staffing requirements, and resource allocation
  • Procurement of materials required to complete projects
  • Coordinate with architects, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure project specifications are met
  • Review and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction documents
  • Monitor project progress and ensure adherence to schedule and budget
  • Conduct regular site visits to inspect work quality and confer with project staff to address any issues or concerns
  • Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and provide regular updates on project status
  • Manage project documentation, including contracts, change orders, Miss Utility, and permits
  • Confer with the Billing Specialist to process invoices to customers
  • Manage and evaluate performance of direct reports

Experience

  • Proven experience as a Construction Project Manager or similar role
  • Strong knowledge of project management principles and techniques
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints and construction documents
  • Familiarity with construction estimating and cost control methods
  • Experience with project scheduling software
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize tasks effectively

Qualifications

  • Associates or Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or related field (preferred but not required)
  • Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills (both written and verbal)
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Ability to work well individually and with a team
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record

Location

  • On-site (not remote)
  • Home office is located in Mt. Crawford, VA
  • Jobsites will fall within a 1-hour radius of the home office

  • From $65,000.00 per year (commiserate with experience)
