Position Description



Position Summary:

The Quality Control Technician performs inspections, audits, and construction surveillance necessary to verify performance to codes, standards, specifications and drawings.

Responsibilities: 

  • Comply with (and actively promote) all Safety policies and procedures including reporting all accidents, incidents and near-misses to ensure adherence to our Number One Core Value – Safety first, in everything we do.
  • Ensures project quality plan is implemented and followed.
  • Monitors and tracks corrective and preventative actions.
  • Perform process and quality audits and visual inspections.
  • Analyze date, prepares reports and evaluates audit findings.  
  • Ensures compliance to contract specifications.  
  • Works with Construction Supervisors, Schedulers and planners to implement the project quality plan ensuring understanding of the project scope and schedule.  
  • Enforce quality control and Company safety policies on all aspects of the work.
  • Communicate daily with QC Manager.
  • Calculates pay factors and tonnage totals on daily lab reports. 

 








Position Requirements



Qualifications: 

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Quality Control Technician in heavy civil construction.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office. 
  • Maintain a flexible work schedule allowing for travel to different projects.
  • Working knowledge of regulatory agency quality assurance/quality control activities.   
  • Must be able to follow verbal and written instructions. 
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

  • Ability to work with a team in an efficient and effective manner. 
  • Self-starter with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
