Sr Commercial Construction Superintendent
Location: Springfield, Missouri
Position Type: Full-Time In-Office
A well-established commercial and civil construction firm is seeking a Commercial Construction Superintendent to provide leadership and oversight for field operations across multiple construction
projects. This is a senior leadership position responsible for ensuring projects are completed
safely, efficiently, on schedule, and to the highest quality standards while developing and
supporting field personnel.
The ideal candidate is a proven construction leader with extensive experience managing
superintendents, coordinating multiple projects simultaneously, and driving operational
excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide leadership and oversight for all field operations across commercial and civil
construction projects.
Supervise, mentor, and develop superintendents, foremen, and field personnel.
Ensure projects are executed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with company
standards.
Partner with project managers to develop project schedules, manpower plans, and
construction strategies.
Monitor productivity, quality control, and project performance across multiple active
jobsites.
Conduct regular jobsite visits to ensure compliance with safety regulations, contract
requirements, and company expectations.
Assist with workforce planning, staffing, hiring, onboarding, and performance
management of field personnel.
Collaborate with estimating and preconstruction teams during project planning and
turnover.
Identify operational improvements that enhance efficiency, profitability, and client
satisfaction.
Build and maintain strong relationships with owners, subcontractors, vendors, architects,
engineers, and inspectors.
Promote a culture centered on safety, accountability, teamwork, and continuous
improvement.
Qualifications:
Minimum 10 years of commercial and/or civil construction experience, including
progressive leadership responsibilities.
Previous experience managing multiple superintendents, project teams, or field
operations.
Strong understanding of commercial and civil construction means and methods.
Experience with scheduling, manpower planning, budgeting, and resource allocation.
Thorough knowledge of OSHA safety regulations and construction best practices.
Excellent leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.
Ability to effectively prioritize multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
Valid driver's license and ability to travel to regional jobsites as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field
preferred, but equivalent industry experience will be considered.
OSHA 30 Certification preferred.
Experience with project management and scheduling software is a plus.

Work Environment:
