The Senior Construction Manager, Electrical leads a team of electricians. Will work cross-functionally with project management, infrastructure engineering, project controls, procurement, maintenance, and operations departments from preconstruction through completion and start of production.
Requires extensive experience with industrial and commercial MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) systems as well as managing multiple field crews for both electrical and process piping scopes
Responsibilities:
Manage all aspects of the electrical and mechanical, including construction, budget and cash management, for multiple projects
Develop and manage the schedules, project procedures, staffing requirements, and equipment resources needed to complete accurate and timely project production
Assess design and specification documents for completeness. Works with designers and electricians to resolve specification, contract conflict and scheduling issues
Oversee construction scheduling and coordination with electricians to identify scope conflicts or constructability issues
Review and approve staffing and equipment needs and provide input on equipment procurement methods and contracts to ensure efficient and effective project production
Leads project closeout procedures, finalizing contract paperwork, and working with management to resolve any disputes.
Leads project debrief cycle to review all aspects of project work and completion. Maintains knowledge of Company's values and strategic plan
Qualifications:
12+ years construction supervision required
10+ years' experience in managing field personnel required
10+ electrical construction experience required
Experience managing a team of superintendents and field crews for both electrical and mechanical scopes
Experience in plant shutdown scheduling and coordination required
Advanced knowledge of Procore and MS Office, including advanced Excel skills
Knowledge of Primavera P6 or other scheduling software
Strong interpersonal skills developed to engage and retain positive working relationships
Strong developed skill to identify, track and manage project risk
High School diploma required; Bachelor's degree is a plus
Physical Requirements & Working Conditions:
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
Environment, such as office or outdoors and inclement weather conditions and may include climbing, standing, stooping, or typing
