Our client is a full-service EPC (Engineering, Procurement, Construction) company for solar and solar + storage projects in the United States. The company brings technical savvy, a qualified professional labor force, an in-house engineering team, and an expansive fleet of equipment to the table, allowing it to serve the needs of its clients and deliver results efficiently.

About the Position:

• Lead an enterprise-wide electrical and substation organization executing on utility-scale solar power plants. The electrical construction scope is defined to include various aspects related to the design, installation and operation of solar power systems.
• Lead a team culture of continuous improvement for the electrical and substation department in safety, quality, efficiency and profitability.
• Drive innovations to maintain industry leadership in cost competitiveness. Managing the electrical budget, adhering to expense and capital budgets, and achieving revenue and gross margin goals are critical for this role.
• Ensure the electrical construction team remains fit for purpose in terms of capabilities and size.
• Continually review the performance of the electrical construction teams, including subcontractors, with respect to safety, quality, and efficiency, and take necessary actions to improve.
• Provide the Estimating department with accurate and competitive pricing for the electrical scope of proposals.
• Recruit, develop, and retain industry leading talent. Collaborate with HR and the L&D team to establish an effective apprenticeship program to ensure strategies and structures align with the evolving needs of the workforce.
• Manage the allocation of electrical construction teams.
• Ensure the highest level of satisfaction from internal and external customers.

Requirements:


• 20+ years of electrical construction experience (emphasis on estimating, procuring, planning, scheduling, executing and P&L management) with proven track record of growth within the field.
• 8+ years in supervisory capacity.
• 2+ years in a company management (i.e: non-project) role.
• High degree of knowledge in construction leadership principles and best practices, particularly regarding safety, environmental protection and quality.
• Strong team building skills.
• Leadership by example with high integrity.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to meet or beat deadlines while providing accurate information.
• Bachelor’s degree in related field of study preferred, but not required.
• Electrical Contractor License in multiple states.
