Who we are seeking:
» A Senior Project Manager to mentor and lead the company’s Project Management staff in San Diego.
» An established member in the construction industry in San Diego, capable of leading large-scale design and construction projects in education and healthcare markets.
» A candidate with 10-plus years of experience in construction of large-scale building projects and an established network of contacts within the industry. Proven leadership experience is a must as this position will be responsible for developing internal staff capabilities.

Essential job functions:
» BD/Client Relationships » Serve as SPM on assigned projects, lead project team through preconstruction phase.
» Review and assist in preparation and culmination of project estimates and bids.
» Oversee or perform the selection of subcontractors and completion of contract arrangements and review and approve proposed materials and shop drawings from subcontractors and suppliers.
» Work with Superintendent in preparation and maintenance of project schedule, including all aspects of Last Planner System (Lean Construction).
» Ensure that all required project management/ administrative prerequisites are prepared and submitted to the architect and ensure these plans are properly administered, as in submittals expedited, received, logged and approved.
» Monitor construction activities, enforce company safety policies, and resolve problems and issues which arise, especially those pertaining to changes, deficiencies and/or subcontractor performance.
» Prepare and provide monthly project status reports, project billings, and provide other information to keep client properly informed.
» Meet with owner representatives, subcontractors and the architect/engineer to review the progress of the job and discuss and resolve problems and issues that arise
