Job Summary

ALBA Contractors, Inc. is currently seeking an experienced shop foreman to join our team.  This position offers a competitive wage and benefit package as well as the opportunity to work independently within fast-paced business. Our ideal candidate should be highly self-motivated and proactive in looking for ways to improve the operational efficiency of the company. 

Qualifications 

• Required: Valid Driver’s License and must have a clean driving record
• Required: Knowledge of heavy equipment, as well as gas and diesel engines
• Required: Computer skills to maintain maintenance records
• Required: Coordinating experience
• Preferred: Knowledge of concrete, sewer, and waterproofing materials
• Class A CDL is a plus

Duties and Responsibilities 

To perform this position successfully, an individual must be able to perform the essential duties and responsibilities, as follows:

• Support mechanic operation
  • Assist with mechanical break-downs
  • Schedule regular maintenance of all vehicles and equipment
  • Ability to prioritize mechanical repairs
  • Order and pick up necessary truck and equipment parts
• Maintain communication with dispatch regarding equipment status, break-downs, and maintenance schedules
• Effectively use and maintain Equipment Software
  • Document mechanical issues, warranties, parts, etc.
• Maintain shop/yard organization
• Support field operations
  • Load/unload equipment
  • Load/unload materials
  • Gather supplies/materials as needed
  • Drop off/pick up necessary tools or materials to job sites

Shifts

• Flexibility is a must: must be able to prioritize duties to maximize shifts and ensure vehicles and equipment are available when needed
