Description The Superintendent will be responsible for: Coordinate the work of all construction substrates in conjunction with the main office. Arrange, monitor and be present for agency inspections. Read and comprehend the information contained in architectural, civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, and landscape drawings and specifications. Review shop drawings and other reports prepared by testing and inspection agency. Prepare and monitor RFI's. Prepare daily report forms and progress photographs. Working knowledge and familiarity with computer operating systems including Windows, Outlook, Word, Excel; and opening, preparing, scanning, printing, and sending PDF files and other documents. Actively engage design professionals, subcontractors, project managers, and local officials, when needed, to problem solve, mitigate conflicts, and resolve disputes. Maintain a clean, neat, and orderly job site; and enforce job site safety standards. Develop and maintain the project schedule in coordination with the Project Manager Oversee daily field operations to ensure work is progressing safely, on time, and to specification Coordinate subcontractor sequencing and ensure adherence to project timelines Conduct and lead regular jobsite meetings, including subcontractor coordination meetings Monitor quality control and ensure all work meets company and client standards Identify and proactively resolve field issues, delays, and conflicts Enforce compliance with all OSHA regulations and company safety policies Track and manage material deliveries, inventory, and storage on site Verify field conditions and ensure accurate layout and installation of work Collaborate with the Project Manager on budgets, scheduling updates, and cost impacts Ensure proper documentation and closeout procedures are completed, including punch lists and final inspections Maintain strong communication with clients, inspectors, and stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle Supervise and mentor Assistant Superintendents and field staff Ensure all subcontractors adhere to contract scope, quality standards, and safety expectations Assist in project startup and mobilization, including site logistics planning Profile The Superintendent will have: 5+ years of experience in commercial ground-up construction, with a proven ability to lead field operations Comprehensive understanding of the full construction lifecycle from preconstruction through project closeout Strong ability to read, interpret, and implement construction documents, including drawings and specifications Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with all project stakeholders Demonstrated leadership skills with experience supervising subcontractors and field personnel Strong time management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize competing tasks Proactive problem-solver with the ability to make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment High attention to detail with a commitment to quality workmanship Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with construction management software (Procore, Bluebeam, etc.) preferred Solid knowledge of building codes, safety regulations, and OSHA standards Ability to manage multiple responsibilities while maintaining project schedules and deadlines Strong work ethic with a self-starter mentality and ability to work independently Experience coordinating inspections, permits, and jurisdictional requirements Ability to adapt to changing project conditions and handle challenges with a solutions-oriented mindset Commitment to maintaining a safe, organized, and productive jobsite environment Job Offer The Superintendent will be offerd: $110,000 - $130,000 base salary dependent on experience 10-15% bonus $700 vehicle allowance Cell phone & gym allowance Annual raises Opportunity to work on a variety of projects Clear progression goals Clear communication, great work environment Excellent reputation in the industry Full Health benefits Employer 401K match Paid 4 weeks vacation and 11 federal holidays Paid maternity and paternity leave Gas card MPI does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, or based on an individual's status in any group or class protected by applicable federal, state or local law.
