Job Description Summary

As an Architectural Coordinator working for Taylor Morrison you will be responsible for the coordination of product deliverables and plan management processes in order to provide accurate takeoffs and field execution for all plans built by Taylor Morrison.

Job Details

We trust that as an Architectural Coordinator you will: (responsibilities)

  • Create and maintain Community Plan Sets for each community outlet
  • Log and track status of plan change requests through our internal tracking system
  • Apply plan redlines to Community and Master Construction Documents, and Design Brochures
  • Control the release of plan updates to internal departments and external vendors
  • Assist the Permitting teams plan submittal needs, as requested
  • Review and verify that construction document content matches consumer facing content, including but not limited to: Design Brochures, Marketing Collateral, 3D Renderings, and Interactive Floor Plans
  • Perform plan audits for Architecture and Purchasing departments, as requested
  • Identify and communicate any issues with plans or layouts to Architectural Manager
  • Perform other duties as assigned

About you:

  • College Degree (Associates degree or higher) Architecture, Engineering, or Marketing (Preferred)
  • Residential drafting, homebuilding industry, and/or other related coordination experience (Preferred)
  • Understanding of how to read floor plans and construction documents (Required)
  • Focus and a high attention to detail and accuracy
  • Effective communication skills
  • Customer service mindset
  • Ability to set priorities and react to time critical work
  • Experience in AutoCAD, Bluebeam, Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word software programs (preferred)

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

Will have responsibilities such as:

  • This position is considered a non-exempt position for purposes of wage-hour law, which means that you will be required to keep a time record and will be eligible for overtime pay.

  • Report to Division/Corporate Office/Community daily and adhere to schedule
  • Ability to access, input, and retrieve information from a computer and/or electronic device
  • Ability to have face to face conversations with customers, co-workers and higher level manager
  • Ability to sit or stand for long periods of time and move around work environment as needed
  • Ability to operate a motor vehicle if applicable
  • Comply with company policies and procedure

Physical Demands:

  • Must be able to able to remain in a stationary position up to 50% of the time
  • The ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds

*Taylor Morrison experience and/or successful completion of training program may override required education and/or experience requirement.
