Our Atlanta Studio has an immediate need for an Architectural Designer II.  The Architectural Designer II performs a variety of assignments requiring the application of standard design techniques for a small project of selected segments of a larger one, under supervision.  Capable of exercising independent judgment in evaluating, selecting and applying standard design techniques and procedures.

 

Basic responsibilities include:

 

Responsible for daily design or technical development of projects under the supervision of a licensed architect.

Prepare 2D and 3D design materials.

Develops solutions to technical and design problems.

Performs product research; assists project designers and project architects with material selection and system research.

Works with the project architect to develop production drawings.

Assists with construction administration, including shop drawing reviews, material submittals, on-site inspections, etc.

No formal supervisory responsibilities in this position


Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE

 

Bachelor's Degree (B.S. or B.Arch) or Master's Degree (M.Arch) from four-year college or university. 

6+ years experience required.

Experience with commercial/ institutional/complex building types

Experienced with Revit, Photoshop, AutoCAD, Sketch-UP and Adobe Suite.

Ability to complete tasks with accuracy and with strong attention to detail

Ability to present and articulate ideas and analyses

Demonstrates intellectual curiosity and comfort with ambiguity and complex challenges

Ability to learn quickly and demonstrate willingness to take on new responsibilities

Ability to work independently upon receiving direction from others
