WSP USA is currently initiating a search for an Architectural Intern for Summer 2020 in our Los Angeles, CA office.  Relocation assistance is not available for this Internship position.
 
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBIULITIES:
 
  • Working in an Internship Program under the guidance of senior architects to participate in the preparation of conceptual design studies, exhibits and contract document packages.
  • Work will center on design of Rail and Bus stations; maintenance facilities and administration centers;
  • Coordinate architectural design on projects with allied disciplines such as civil, structural mechanical electrical and plumbing.
  • Under the guidance of staff, assist in completion of the Q/A Q/C review process
  • Participation in Developing Professional Network (DPN) program during 2020 internship to foster your personal growth, networking with others at WSP USA and to have the opportunity for direct impact on your work environment and culture.

Requirements

<div><strong><span style="text-decoration: underline;">MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:</span></strong></div> <div><strong><span style="text-decoration: underline;"> </span></strong></div> <ul> <li>Student currently enrolled in an accredited college degree program for in architecture</li> <li>Completion of a minimum of two years of college level architectural education</li> <li>Positioned to graduate with a Bachelor of Masters in Architecture during 2021.</li> <li>Experience with computer based office and design software including MS Office, AutoCAD, Revit and visualization software such as Illustrator and Sketch-up.</li> <li>Experience researching and analyzing technical information</li> <li>Clear written and verbal English language communication skills</li> <li>Selected candidate must immediately be able to work in the United States.</li> </ul> <div> </div> <div><strong><span style="text-decoration: underline;">PREFERERRED QUALIFICATIONS:</span></strong></div> <div><strong><span style="text-decoration: underline;"> </span></strong></div> <ul> <li>Los Angeles/Southern California area residency preferred.</li> <li>Prior architectural office experience</li> <li>Verifiable experience in the preparation of contract documents packages</li> <li>Additional capability with visualization and rendering software such as Adobe Creative Suite, Rhino and 3D Studio Max</li> </ul> <div> </div> <div><strong><span style="text-decoration: underline;">ABOUT WSP USA</span></strong></div> <div> </div> <div>WSP USA is the U.S. operating company of one of the world's leading engineering and professional services firms.
