Mortenson Properties, Inc is looking for an Asset Manager who will play a crucial role in the asset management oversight and renewable energy strategies within the MPI portfolio by incorporating a market data and trends approach at the property level. Maximize asset value for investment purposes through the execution, and continued refinement of, the investment plan.

What you will be doing:

*Lead MPI's renewable strategies on our real estate portfolio and assist with execution and oversight on MPI's renewable tax equity investments
*Provides direction and oversight to third party/external property managers for multiple properties
*Leads and acts as a liaison between the property manager and corporate/MPI leadership
*Reviews property-level financials; highlights & understands anomalies, inconsistencies and/or significant deviations
*Assesses the financials for compliance; ensures the financial reporting is accurate and completed timely
*Reviews, evaluates, and approves budgets, including but not limited to, annual operating budgets and common area maintenance (CAM) reconciliations
*Develops annual and multiyear financial forecasts for properties under the oversite of the investment team with focus on leasing and capital improvement needs
*Provides input to and/or participates in evaluating capital investment/improvement decisions
*Provides relevant information and supports the lease negotiation process
*Oversees lease administration process for newly signed leases
*Provides direction and oversee lease on leasing administration best practices/process improvements
*May provide strategic input/insight on the property's long-term viability/liquidity (buy, sell, hold etc.)
*Ensures and fosters positive relationships with vendors, property management, the community, and tenants; ensures the property manager delivers excellent customer service
*Represents Mortenson directly in tenant interactions as needed.
*Effectively work and build relationships with those of diverse backgrounds and organizational levels
*All other duties as assigned

How you will succeed:

*Demonstrates advanced analytical skills, including the proven ability to perform financial modeling using Excel and/or related asset management software
*Demonstrates advanced organizational skills and the ability to apply analytical skills with attention to detail
*Demonstrates strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate as well as strong written and verbal communication skills
*Demonstrates knowledge of renewable energy strategies and structures
*Demonstrates knowledge of real estate finance as well as basic real estate operations, leasing and development concepts
*Seeks out and solicits diverse input and feedback
*Ability to travel regularly

Education and experience:

*Bachelor's degree in Real Estate, Business, Economics or Finance a related discipline
*3-5 years of experience in property or asset management in commercial real estate, renewable energy, or a related field
