D.R. Horton, Inc. is currently looking for anAssistant Compliance Managerfor their Financial ServicesComplianceDepartment. The right candidate willprovide oversight of the Compliance Department in conjunction with the Compliance Manger. In addition, they will manage the department in the absence of the Compliance Manger.



Essential Duties and Responsibilities



* Be available to internal and external teammates for questions / guidance regarding compliance issues.

* Assist in the oversight and the preparation for and coordination of regulatory examinations.

* Assign and Monitor teammate progress on projects to insure all projects are completed within the appropriate scope, detail and timelines required.

* Respond on behalf of the Compliance Department in regards to:


o Regulatory Federal, State, Agency and Investor audits as applicable.

o Comments to proposed rules and regulations
* Manage personal projects as assigned by the Compliance Manager.

* Ensure that policies / procedures / processes to comply with the laws (including but not limited to those below) and regulations are incorporated into daily operating procedures, and be familiar with and coordinate the implementation of changes to policies and procedures as required by new or amended regulations.


o Truth-in-Lending Act (TILA)

o Equal Credit Opportunity Act (ECOA)

o Flood Disaster Protection Act (FDPA

o Fair Housing Act

o Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA)

o Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA)

o Real Estate Settlement Procedures Act (RESPA)

o Home Mortgage Disclosure Act (HMDA)

o Gramm Leach Bliley (the Privacy Act)

o Home Ownership and Equity Protection Act (HOEPA)

o State Regulations

o Government Lending Programs

o Internal Policies



Supervisory Responsibilities

Directly manages 2 or more in the Compliance department. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.




Education and/or Experience

Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or four to six years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
