WSP is currently initiating a search for an Assistant Consultant, Architect for our Boston, MA office.
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Work includes a variety of projects on transportation related facilities including Parking Garages, Rail Transit Stations, Airport Terminals and Facilities, Tunnels, Maintenance Facilities, and Transit Oriented Mixed-used facilities to support the needs of the architectural group.
  • Architectural design from schematics to construction documents as individual assignment and/or as a member of the design team, including drafting, code research, product research, existing condition documentation, and assisting in reports production.  
  • Architectural drafting including Revit and AutoCAD
  • Support the production of construction documents for traditional and alternate delivery projects.
  • Researching building products, materials, methods and systems using that knowledge to develop functional, innovative and elegant designs.
  • Creating spreadsheets using Excel, written documents using Word and presentations using Powerpoint.
  • Conduct site and construction observations and inspections for information gathering purposes, assist in the preparation of observation and inspection reports.  See projects through construction phase and provide construction support services
  • Coordinating with various disciplines design such as structural, civil and MEP engineers, landscape architecture and specification writers.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • year of professional experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Architecture from a NAAB Accredited program.
  • Working knowledge of construction drawing standards.
  • Proficiency in REVIT, AutoCAD, Sketch-up, Adobe Creative Suite, Rhino and/or 3D Studio MAX.
  • Detail oriented and highly organized Self-starter, able to work in a team and multi-task.
