kW MCE, is currently initiating a search for a Assistant Consultant,Mechanical Engineer in the Milwaukee, Wisconsin office.  
Mechanical Engineers work on high quality local, regional, as well as high profile national and international projects. You will actively participate in the full project cycle, from the design phase through the final construction close out.  We work in close collaboration with the entire project team, ensuring optimal integration of all systems.
 
Job Duties and Responsibilities
 
As an Assistant Consultant, Mechanical Engineer you will be responsible for overseeing the mechanical aspects of projects.
 
WSP USA’s Mechanical Engineers work on high quality local, regional, as well as high profile national and international projects. You will actively participate in the full project cycle, from the design phase through the final construction close out.  We work in close collaboration with the entire project team, ensuring optimal integration of all systems.
 
Job Duties and Responsibilities
As an Assistant Consultant, Mechanical Engineer you will be introduced to many aspects of mechanical design of a project.  
 
Design:
  • Develop drawing and specification documents
  • Design air distribution(supply, return, exhaust) and hydronic systems (chilled water, heating water, etc)
 
Analytics:
  • Perform cooling and heating load calculations
  • Prepare reports
  • Collaboration:
  • Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct and adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures
  • Other duties as required by business needs

Requirements

Qualifications
  • BA degree Mechanical Engineering 
  • 0-1 year of experience in mechanical systems design
  • Strong communication and writing skills
  • Attention to detail, highly organized, self-starter 
 
Preferred
  • Previous mechanical design internship experience
  • Working knowledge of Revit
