WSP is currently initiating a search for a Assistant Project Manager for our White Plains, NY.
The prime function and basic objective of this position is to assist Project Managers in the management of scope, schedule and budget of large capital projects and programs from conception through closeout.
Accountabilities / Duties / Responsibilities
  • Attend & contribute to project meetings
  • Interface with project stakeholders, including Engineering, Construction ,Contractors, EH&S, etc.,
  • Support Project Manager in managing project schedule and budget
  • Responsible for administering RFI's, submittals, payment requisitions, and change orders
  • Management of Contractor/field personnel
  • Involved in controlling the quality of all project components
  • Additional support as required by the project management team


Job Specifications
Education Professional Certifications
  • Bachelor's degree; Engineering, Construction Management, or related Preferred
  • PMP Preferred
Years of Experience: 3+
Description of Professional Experience: 3+ years of project management experience for engineering and construction projects including knowledge of construction methods, practices, procedures and contracts.
Technical Skills

Proficiency in software especially in Oracle Primavera P6 Scheduling and MS Office Suite (especially Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Project). Working knowledge of Oracle Primavera P6, Unifier, Oracle EBS and Oracle BI including ability to operate in an administrative capacity. Good understanding of budget and financial management, earned value tracking techniques, critical path model scheduling, work breakdown structure management, contract management, etc. Strong understanding of electric and gas utility business.
