WSP is currently initiating a search for an Assistant Technical Specialist for our Newark/Baltimore office.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Support project teams on a variety of small, mid-size and large rail and transit planning and/or design projects
  • Contribute to the preparation of rail and transit feasibility studies and master plans, service and operating plans and computer modeling
  • Apply analytic methodologies, and perform qualitative and quantitative analysis
  • Prepare technical reports and support presentations to clients and project stakeholders
  • Assist in developing operations and service plans for all transit and rail transportation modes

Requirements

<div>Minimum Qualifications:</div> <ul> <li>Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Planning, Mathematics, Transportation or related field</li> <li>Demonstrated research, problem-solving and quantitative analysis skills</li> <li>Excellent communication, writing and interpersonal skills</li> <li>Ability to gather, organize and analyze data</li> <li>Experience using computer software including MS Office, GIS and graphics software</li> </ul> <div> </div> <div>Preferred Qualifications</div> <ul> <li>History of internships or academic research in transportation systems planning, rail and transit systems planning, operations research and analysis</li> <li>Demonstrated critical and creative thinking skills</li> </ul> <div> </div> <div>About WSP USA</div> <div> </div> <div>WSP USA is the U.S. operating company of one of the world's leading engineering and professional services firms.
