WSP is currently initiating a search for an Aviation Intern for our Kansas City, MO office.
 
Duties and Responsibilities: 
  • Construction Inspection on Aviation-related (airport) improvement projects.
  • Monitoring contractor construction techniques; measuring and recording quantities usage.
  • Interaction with client, fellow engineering/inspection personnel, and contractor personnel.
  • Monitoring and recording daily activities of the contractor.
  • Observing/monitoring construction materials testing procedures performed by others.

Requirements

<div>Minimum Qualifications:</div> <ul> <li>Current standing as a Rising Sophomore, Junior, Senior or Graduate student actively enrolled in an accredited *Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Environmental* Engineering Undergraduate or Graduate program</li> <li>Prior internship experience, leadership experience, or relevant coursework</li> <li>Experience with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint</li> <li>Strong technical writing, analytical and communication skills</li> <li>Detail-oriented with an emphasis on quality work products</li> <li>The selected candidate must have the ability to work in the United States immediately.</li> </ul> <div> </div> <div>Preferred Qualifications</div> <ul> <li>Able to work in an outdoor environment, stand and/or move about for long periods of time.</li> <li>Ability to drive pickup truck.</li> <li>Like working outdoors during summertime periods.</li> </ul> <div> </div> <div>Anticipated Projects:</div> <ul> <li> Taxiway Bravo & Charlie Reconstruction at Philip Billard Municipal Airport</li> <li> Kansas Air National Guard Ramp Repair project - Topeka Regional Airport</li> </ul> <div>Both projects are located in Topeka, Kansas.</div> <div> </div> <div>About WSP USA</div> <div> </div> <div>WSP USA is the U.S. operating company of one of the world's leading engineering and professional services firms.
