Job Description Summary

As a Benefits Administrator working for Taylor Morrison you will assist in the administration of the companys benefit plans to support Taylor Morrisons strategic priorities. Responsible for administering, auditing, and reviewing, the companys plans to ensure compliance with all company policies, state and federal laws and making recommendations for change as appropriate. Provides support for all employee benefit programs, processes, polices, vendors and other related matters.

Job Details

We trust that as a Benefits Administrator you will: (responsibilities)

  • Administers the companys leave of absence process to meet established company guidelines and regulations under the Family Medical Leave Act and Americans with Disabilities Act
  • Provides front line customer service and support for benefits function
  • Reconciles all monthly invoices for benefit plans
  • Responsible for day-to-day administration of benefit programs such as medical, dental, vision, life, disability, flexible spending and 401(k) including addressing carrier inquiries
  • Assists with annual open enrollment for health and welfare plans, communication, planning and vendor implementation
  • Maintains plan documents such as SPDs, SMMs and SARs and develops and maintains administrative procedures
  • Key contributor in developing, implementing and servicing all aspects of the companys benefit programs
  • Perform other duties as assigned

About you:

  • 3+ years of progressive benefits administration experience
  • Bachelors degree in Human Resource, Business, or related major or any equivalent combination of education and experience is preferred
  • Strong knowledge of benefit principles, laws, and regulations and technical knowledge of benefits functional areas
  • Project management, problem solving, and decision making skills with attention to detail
  • Research and data management skills; demonstrated ability to analyze, interpret and summarize data and make recommendations
  • Computer Skills (Microsoft Office products, strong in Excel)
  • Communication Skills (verbal and written)
  • Self-motivator who maintains confidentiality and professionalism

FLSA Status: Exempt

Will have responsibilities such as:

  • Office or non-manual work, which is directly related to management or general business operations
  • Act as a primary component of which involves the exercise of independent judgment and discretion about matters of significance

  • Report to Division/Corporate Office/Community daily and adhere to schedule
  • Ability to access, input, and retrieve information from a computer and/or electronic device
  • Ability to have face to face conversations with customers, co-workers and higher level manager
  • Ability to sit or stand for long periods of time and move around work environment as needed
  • Ability to operate a motor vehicle if applicable
  • Comply with company policies and procedure

Physical Demands:

  • Must be able to able to remain in a stationary position up to 50% of the time
  • The ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds

*Taylor Morrison experience and/or successful completion of training program may override required education and/or experience requirement.
