Job Description Summary

As a Benefits Manager working for Taylor Morrison you will partner with the leadership of Total Rewards to design, deliver and maintain competitive benefit programs that attract, motivate and retain top talent and support Taylor Morrisons strategic priorities. Responsible for managing, auditing, and reviewing the companys plans to ensure compliance with all company policies, state and federal laws and making recommendations for change as appropriate. Provides leadership for all employee benefit programs, processes, polices, vendors and other related matters.

Job Details

We trust that as a Benefits Manager you will: (responsibilities)

  • Design and deliver competitive benefit programs that support Taylor Morrisons strategic priorities and meet the needs of our team members and their families
  • Establish and maintain strategic partnerships with benefit consultants and vendors to support strategic organizational priorities and achieve maximum ROI on health and welfare investment
  • Develop and deliver creative strategies to communicate and educate team members on benefit programs
  • Ensure regulatory compliance of all benefit plans, including HIPAA, ERISA, Sarbanes Oxley, FMLA, ADA, annual filings, etc.
  • Lead the annual open enrollment process
  • Leads the support of front-line customer service and support for benefits function
  • Leads the day-to-day administration of benefit programs such as medical, dental, vision, life, disability, flexible spending and 401(k) including addressing carrier inquiries
  • Reviews and approves all monthly invoices for benefit plans
  • Maintains plan documents such as SPDs, SMMs and SARs and develops and maintains administrative procedures

About you:

  • 5+ years of progressive benefits administration experience with at least 2 years benefit management experience
  • Bachelors degree in Human Resource, Business, or related major or any equivalent combination of education and experience is preferred
  • CBP designation preferred
  • Strong knowledge of benefit principles, laws, and regulations and technical knowledge of benefits functional areas
  • Project management, problem solving, and decision-making skills with attention to detail
  • Research and data management skills; demonstrated ability to analyze, interpret and summarize data and make recommendations
  • Computer Skills (Microsoft Office products, strong in Excel)
  • Communication Skills (verbal and written)
  • Self-motivator who maintains confidentiality and professionalism

FLSA Status: Exempt

Will have responsibilities such as:

  • This position is considered an exempt position for purposes of wage-hour law, which means that you will not be required to keep a time record and will not be eligible for overtime pay.

  • Ability to operate a motor vehicle if applicable
  • Comply with company policies and procedure

Physical Demands:

  • Must be able to able to remain in a stationary position up to 50% of the time
  • The ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds

*Taylor Morrison experience and/or successful completion of training program may override required education and/or experience requirement.
