*D.R. Horton, Inc.*is currently looking for an*_Capital Markets Trade Desk Manager_*. The right candidate will oversee, manage and develop margin strategy, agency fixed rate sheets, hedging strategy and mandatory loan sales to ensure reasonable protection and stability of the fair value of the portfolio and maintain and approximately balance status between lock commitments and security positions while optimizing gain from mandatory loan sales.


*Essential Duties and Responsibilities*include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
* Develop and maintain rate sheets for agency fixed products. Including but not limited to coordinating with Secondary Marketing managers and executive management to maintain companies margin strategy
* Conduct mortgage-backed security transactions as needed to ensure that the value of the customer interest rate lock commitment portfolio is reasonably protected from adverse market conditions for the duration of the price exposure
* Maintain and review margin account status for all active broker dealers on a daily basis and coordinate with accounting to reconcile the position
* Issue mandatory delivery commitments to investors of available product as needed to ensure price optimization and to assign or purchase such mortgage-backed securities as are necessary to maintain a balance and risk-controlled portfolio
* Design and maintain numerical processes with which to verify that product prices are optimized and that the risk management strategies and positions are efficient and effective
* Research and analyze new loan sale opportunities and provide recommended loan sale strategy to management
* Review, maintain and recommend procedures for efficiency improvements
* Develop, test and implement new processes using internal models or external technologies used to manage the hedge portfolio and loan sale decisions
* Maintain advanced knowledge of products and services and regulatory requirements
* Maintain knowledge on financial accounting required for hedging and financial reporting
* Coordinate with accounting to develop and maintain hedge accounting financial reports
* Develop standards and controls that adhere to company policy including with coordinating with IT, Internal Audit, Secondary Marketing management and Accounting
* Act as an expert and knowledge focal point for the team members
* Interview, hire, and train staff as needed
* Routinely meet with management to review hedge results and trading exposure
* Create, maintain and audit internal processes to mitigate risk
* Perform analyses as needed from time to time to ensure that the security and rate lock positions are appropriately structured to minimize risk and maintain a stable net market value status
* Lead, develop and motivate a team to continuously produce at a high level
* Consult with outside consultants or research with outside vendors to help solve business needs
* Establish mortgage interest rate structures and product prices as needed, consistent with volatile market conditions
* Conduct all business in a professional and ethical manner to serve customers and increase the goodwill and profit of the company

*Supervisory Responsibilities*

Directly manages two or more employees in the Secondary Marketing Department. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.



*Education and/or Experience*
* Bachelors degree from a four-year college or university and/or four to ten years of related experience and/or training
* Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written oral form or via DRH applications
* Proficiency with MS Office and email

*Preferred Qualifications*
* Master's degree preferred
* Strong communication skills
* Ability to multi-task and attention to detail
