WSP is currently initiating a search for a Civil Engineer (Roadway) for our Dallas office.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Perform basic civil/highway/drainage design tasks including design calculations, quantity take-offs for cost estimates, site visits to confirm field conditions, and preparation of technical reports
• Work on various types and sizes of projects ranging from conceptual/planning studies, reports, and permit applications to preparation of plans, specifications, quantity calculations and cost estimates (PS&E) bid packages to construction documents for alternative design projects
• Assist in preparing design drawings using computer-aided design (CADD) software
• Coordinate with other design disciplines, including structures, hydraulics/drainage, storm water, traffic, electrical, utilities, right of way
• Ensure that production of specifications, reports, and analyses meet scope, schedule, cost, and quality requirements


<div>Talent is the essence of meeting our client’s objectives, goals and challenges.  If this sounds like a fit for you, we’d love to have that first discussion of you joining our team.</div> <div> </div> <div><strong>Minimum Qualifications:</strong></div> <div>• Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering or related field from an accredited program</div> <div>• 0-2 years of experience in the design and preparation of project reports and construction contract documents for roads and highways</div> <div>• Relevant coursework in roadway design, hydrologic studies, and/or hydraulic design</div> <div>• Good verbal, written, and interpersonal skills and the ability to work within a team environment</div> <div>• Experience with basic computer software, including MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook</div> <div> </div> <div><strong>Preferred Qualifications:</strong></div> <div>• EIT Certifcation or ability to obtain within 6 months</div> <div>• Experience with Bentley MicroStation Version SS2/SS4/ORD Connect, Bentley Geopak, Bentley InRoads, AutoCAD Civil3D, HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, StormCAD, SUDA and/or SWMM</div> <div>• Familiarity with the AASHTO Green Book, Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD) and/or TXDOT's Design Manuals</div> <div> </div> <div><em><strong>About WSP USA</strong></em></div> <div> </div> <div>WSP USA is the U.S. operating company of one of the world's leading engineering and professional services firms.
