We are seeking a Civil Engineering Group Leader to make a significant contribution to WSP USA’s strategic plan to increase our project management and business development capability. The Senior Supervising Engineer will manage the Civil Engineering staff in the Nashville, TN office as well as multiple multi discipline complex projects for both public and private sector clients. Responsibilities include coordinating with the Area Manager, coordination with other local and regional staff. Responsibilities also include project management, development of staff, leading pursuits, maintaining client relationships, staffing and work sharing, technical design and Quality.
 
Responsibilities
  • Create a challenging professional environment of innovation, opportunity, development and continuous improvement that supports office objectives
  • Work with the Area Manager to develop strategic initiatives and business plans for the area that align with the overall goals of the region
  • Successfully support office and area business objectives by wining and managing complex and major road / highway projects
  • Recruit, retain and develop top industry talent
  • Commitment to quality and continuous improvement through innovation, creative thinking and improved results
  • Establish and maintain cooperative and productive work relationships with all employees, clients and other stakeholders
  • Ensure consistency in project quality, budgetary constraints and expectations and that appropriate monitoring and control mechanisms are developed and administered
  • Work in concert with other senior staff to enhance the organization’s profile across the area

Requirements
